I chose UW-Marshfield/Wood County because I live and work in Marshfield. I was lucky to have a campus in my own backyard, where I can travel five minutes and be on-campus. I was surprised by the warmth of the campus. Class sizes are small, and I was able to get to know my professors and other on-campus staff quite well. Their openness and willingness to help was key in completing my associate's degree but also kept me striving towards earning my Bachelors of Applied Arts and Sciences degree in Marshfield instead of transferring and commuting to another UW System campus.
