I had the pleasure of attending UW-Marshfield/Wood County twice, both as a traditional and non-traditional student. Like most returning students I was hesitant at first -- the time commitment, the younger classmates and the self-doubt were factors holding me back. As it turns out, returning to college was one of the best decisions I ever made and finally earning my University of Wisconsin degree was the spark I needed to continue my educational journey. I transferred seamlessly into a bachelor degree program at another UW System school, and I even went on to complete a graduate degree. Although I attended other universities, UW-Marshfield/Wood County will always be my home it was this campus that gave me the best start to and second chance at higher education.
