Leading the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (OEDI), Kelly Thomas is the primary lead investigator in civil rights and Title IX-related complaints, and also assists employees that request reasonable accommodations due to a disability.  She also provides a variety of equity and inclusion-related training, and is a trained MAP facilitator. Before she joined UW Colleges and Extension in January 2014, Thomas served in a variety of leadership roles in the affirmative action field, including Chair of the Affirmative Action Officers Executive Committee for the State of Wisconsin and WI State Representative for the American Association for Access, Equity, and Diversity. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Missouri, St. Louis and earned a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix in Portland, Oregon.
