UW-Extension Web site revitalization
UW-Extension is currently looking at improving the functionality, usability, accessibility and design of www.uwex.edu (home page, top-level pages, and administrative sites). The current Web site was launched in 2004, nearly four years ago. By this time next year (January 2009) we should be putting the finishing touches on a newly designed site.
During the Discovery Phase of the project we have:
- Interviewed and surveyed stakeholders
- Surveyed external public on Web site satisfaction (on-going)
- Surveyed employees
- Reviewed search logs and Web stats for trends In progress:
- Analyze survey data and develop audience profiles
- Develop a project plan for phases 2-5
Next steps:
- Launch a blog to communicate with employees and exernal audiences about the project
- Audit existing content
- Begin developing site structure
