The Assistant to the Chancellor for Affirmative Action reports to the Director of the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, and has primary responsibility for coordination and oversight of the University of Wisconsin Colleges and University of Wisconsin-Extension's equal opportunity and affirmative action responsibilities. This position involves complex professional and analytical work associated with the implementation of federal and state laws and regulations, and university policies, and the development of educational programming for university employees. The assistant to the chancellor for affirmative action investigates complaints of discrimination or harassment based upon a protected status. This is a leadership position that fosters an environment of dignity and worth for all members and stakeholders of the university, and encourages the creation of an inclusive working and learning environment.

Director
Safety and Risk Management

The Director of Safety and Risk Management is responsible for administrative policy development and implementation of endeavors to ensure provision of quality services to all areas within the institution.

The Director has primary responsibility in the following areas: risk management, occupational, health, environmental, safety, emergency planning and management, safety and loss control programs, property and liability issues. Reporting to the Vice Chancellor for Administrative and Financial Services, the incumbent in this position works closely with staff from the four UW-Extension divisions. The Director must also develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff from the UW System Administration Office of Risk Management, UW System Legal Counsel, UW-Madison Environmental Health and Safety Department, the UW-Madison Risk Management Office, the UW-Madison Police Department and the State of Wisconsin Bureau of Risk Management as well as other relevant UW System, State of Wisconsin and Federal offices and counterpart managers at colleague institutions.

Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator will provide expertise and leadership for professional development for diversity and inclusion in the University of Wisconsin Colleges (UWC) and University of Wisconsin-Extension (UWEX). The Program Coordinator will collaborate with colleagues to plan, implement, assess, and coordinate learning opportunities that provide the 3000 employees at UWC and UWEX the skills, knowledge, and mindset to achieve and sustain an inclusive learning and working environment. As part of the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, the Program Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing in-person and distance-based professional development content focused on diversity, equity, equal employment opportunity, and inclusion at the University of Wisconsin Colleges and University of Wisconsin-Extension.
