Learning Innovations
Continuing Education, Outreach & E-Learning
Having come from Milwaukee and the private sector as a former instructional designer and, most recently, a Training and Design Analyst for a Fortune 500 company, I find myself in Madison and a leadership role as the Project and Resource Manager for e-learning design and development at UW Learning Innovations. I currently manage and coordinate projects for a team of 10 exceptionally educated FTEs (5 editors and 5 designers), 2 students and one ad hoc editor. My clients include 27 different university programs from throughout the state, state agencies, and faculty from throughout the UW System. While this is seemingly a far cry from my formal education in English literature and theories of interpretation, and a distant cry from the tenured professorship I once dreamt of, I find great satisfaction in helping faculty and the university system to extend their reach and abilities through the balanced blending of technology and solid pedagogical design.
