The Academy for Leadership and Innovation Vision
The Academy for Leadership and Innovation is a model leadership program whose graduates emerge with a multidimensional perspective and competence needed to meet the challenges of a constantly changing environment, to think strategically, and to act collaboratively as they serve the educational needs of Wisconsin residents.
Through five, four-day sessions during 2016, Academy members will participate in a variety of learning experiences related to all aspects of leadership.
Academy members will participate in experiential learning venues that focus on:
- leadership skill-building activities;
- leadership assessments to provide a personal baseline for growth;
- strengthening teamwork by working on service innovation projects.
Appropriate expenses related to participation in ALI (travel, meals, lodging) will be covered by UW Colleges and UW-Extension.
Participants will be responsible for completing readings, assignments, and other projects that demonstrate their leadership and creative capabilities.
Those selected to participate in ALI will be asked to sign a letter of commitment that they will fully participate in the program. Applicants must also obtain and submit a letter of approval from their supervisor, including acknowledgement of the time commitment.
