Events and deadlines coming up at UW Colleges and UW-Extension

- Chancellor's Brown Bag WisLine
- Chancellor Wilson's next Brown Bag audio WisLine is noon - 1 p.m, July 31. This is an excellent opportunity for all UW Colleges and UW-Extension employees to learn more about issues affecting our institutions and to interact with the chancellor. You are invited to join your colleagues at designated listening sites throughout the state. In the Madison Area, employees are invited to participate at the Pyle Center, 702 Langdon St. UW Colleges IT departments will send e-mails shortly before the event announcing campus sites. A limited number of phone lines will be available to those who cannot travel to group listening sites. The dial-in number for outside of Madison is (888) 677-9189; in Madison dial (608) 316-0022. - Wisconsin PBS Kids Open House
- The 10th annual Wisconsin PBS Kids Open House will be held outdoors from 9-11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3 on the Vilas Communication Hall fourth-floor terrace at 821 University Ave. in Madison. Youngsters and their caregivers are invited to attend the free event featuring games and activities based on PBS children's programs, appearances by Curious George, the Man in the Yellow Hat and Clifford the Big Red Dog. - Farm Technology Days
- Farm Technology Days — a three-day outdoor event showcasing the latest improvements in production agriculture — will be held Sept. 18-20 in Green County. UW-Extension plays an active role in this event, along the UW-Madison College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and local, state and federal government agencies involved in agriculture. Experts will answer questions ranging from animal health and nutrition to nutrient management regulations to home gardening. - Chancellor's Awards Banquet
- Save the date: The Chancellor's Awards Banquet, honoring recipients of the Chancellor's Awards, will be held Sept. 20 at the Lowell Center in Madison. The awards recognize the outstanding achievements and contributions of UW Colleges and UW-Extension employees, collaborators and partners during the last year. - Outreach Scholarship Conference
- Save $50 when you register for Outreach Scholarship Conference, Oct. 7-9, in Madison no later than Sept. 14. The early-bird cost for the three-day national conference is $395. The conference, themed Access Through Engagement, will focus on how educational institutions can engage with communities to share resources and goals. UW-Extension and UW Colleges are co-sponsors of the conference, along with Pennsylvania State University, University of Georgia and Ohio State University.
