- DPDI proposals
- UW-Extension's Division of Continuing Education, Outreach and E-Learning is accepting proposals for the ninth annual Diversity Program Development Initiative (DPDI). The grants are available to continuing education programmers on all 26 UW campuses or divisional units for start-up programs that further the goals of UW-Extension's Plan 2008.
- Applicants must have a community partner from the target population in order to be considered. Proposals are evaluated on program need, goals, innovation and creativity, implementation, assessment/evaluation and sustainability. A campus continuing education unit can submit more than one proposal.
- Several grants for up to $10,000 each will be awarded. Grant proposals are due online March 5, 2008, 4:30 p.m.

- Program Innovation Fund proposals
- Proposals for 2008-09 Program Innovation Fund projects are due May 1, 2008. In keeping with UW Colleges' and UW-Extension's Strategic Priorities, proposals that address one or more of the following themes are invited:

- Increasing diversity and multicultural awareness
- Nurturing entrepreneurship, business and economic development while preserving environmental and natural resources
- Increasing the capacity of Wisconsin youth, families and communities to manage current issues
- Increasing access to the educational resources of the UW System by reducing barriers to participation
- Approximately $200,000 of funding is available to support innovative projects and programs that foster greater collaboration among and between the UW-Extension divisions, the UW Colleges and other UW institutions and/or community partners. Awards will be announced June 16, 2008.

- Chancellor's Awards Banquet
- Save the date for the joint UW Colleges and UW-Extension Chancellor's Awards Banquet Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at The Lowell Center in Madison. All employees are invited to celebrate the accomplishments of partners and faculty and staff during the past year. Please watch for e-mails from Chancellor David Wilson about awards nomination information (this spring) and the banquet (this summer).
