Cooperative Extension
Cooperative Extension offers quick and convenient access to university research through a unique three-way partnership of county, state and federal funds. As one of UW-Extension's four divisions, Cooperative Extension provides educational programs that address the learning needs of individuals, families and communities everywhere in the state.

Six major units and their educational program focus:
Agriculture and Natural Resources focuses on the needs and issues of Wisconsin's $51.5 billion agriculture and horticulture industry.
Community, Natural Resource and Economic Development assists communities in meeting challenges including economic development, leadership, local government, organizational development and finance.
Family Living Programs responds to community needs with research-based education and partnerships that support Wisconsin families and communities.
4-H and Youth Development supports young people through 4-H clubs, community youth development, leadership, governance and skill development.
Wisconsin Geological and Natural History Survey conducts natural resources inventory and research to produce information for decision making, problem solving, planning, management, development and education.
Wisconsin Rural Leadership Program strengthens communities by preparing leaders as catalysts for positive change.
