UW-Barron County is one of 13 freshman/sophomore campuses in the UW Colleges. The campus is located on the southwest edge of the city of Rice Lake in northwestern Wisconsin.

Campus:
UW-Barron County is situated along the winding Red Cedar River on approximately 110 acres of partially wooded land in Rice Lake. Six buildings comprise the campus including a gymnasium, library, student center, physical plant, and the combined Ritzinger Science Hall and Meggers Administration buildings. A newly completed expansion project offers state-of-the-art science labs, high-tech classrooms and comfortable student activity space. Other educational and recreational facilities include an observatory, Japanese Garden, three-hole golf course, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, 18-hole disc golf course, a prairie restoration and wildlife habitat study area, and the Cedar Side Trail for walking and biking.
