Chancellor's Awards Banquet will be Sept. 18 in Madison
Despite lean budgets, UW Colleges and UW-Extension employees and their campus, county, state and federal partners are continually finding ways to enhance the quality of life for Wisconsin residents.
The exceptional work of UW Colleges and UW-Extension faculty, academic staff and classified staff and their collaborators will be honored at the second annual Chancellor's Awards Banquet Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008.
The event, hosted by Chancellor David Wilson, will be at the recently remodeled Lowell Center, a conference and lodging facility of the Extension Conference Centers.
Awards recognize excellence
The Chancellor's Awards recognize the exceptional teaching, outreach, collaborations and public service of UW Colleges and UW-Extension employees, partners and supporters during the past year.
The 2008 Chancellor's Awards categories are:
- Wisconsin Idea Award
- Friend and Advocate Award
- Award for Excellence in Civic Engagement
- Award for Excellence in Collaboration
- Award for Outstanding Achievement
- Career Award
Recipients will be announced in August
Chancellor Wilson will announce the recipients of the Chancellor's Awards via e-mail in August. The e-mail will also include an invitation to all employees and friends to the Sept. 18 banquet. The deadline for making banquet reservations is Sept. 8.
