The Wisconsin Geologic and Natural History Survey (WGNHS) is an invaluable resource for hydrologists and engineers who are involved in the protection, restoration, and development of Wisconsin's natural resources. The WGNHS has prepared a variety of technical publications that describe and quantify the surface water, groundwater, and geological resources of the state. These publications include: water supply papers, geologic and hydrologic atlases, geologic boring logs, geologic cross sections, groundwater modeling reports, and countless others. These publications are based on research and field work that have been performed by WGNHS that could not be performed by private industry. We often rely on WGNHS publications because the WGNHS is an authoritative source that is respected by regulators, industry, and the public.
