As a geologist working for a Madison consulting firm for the past 22 years, I have frequently utilized Wisconsin Geological and Natural History Survey (WGNHS) maps, publications, and well logs. The publications provide a wide variety of state geology and groundwater data that I have used for various private sector projects. The research data that has been gathered and the historic information that is available through the WGNHS is tremendous. The historic data, current studies and ongoing data collection, and the very knowledgeable staff combine to make the WGNHS a great resource. I have been assisted specifically by Mike Parsen and Dave Hart with general groundwater flow modeling questions and also with specific questions about the use and application of the Dane County regional groundwater flow model. Recently, Mike Parsen assisted the local Lake Wingra community with a watershed study. Ken Bradbury has always responded to my questions and is a great asset, not just for what he knows, but for his connections to other resources. Thank you!
